Impermax is a cold-applied, self-levelling, polyurethane resin, able to endure abrasion & load weight. Impermax can be applied in a variety of methods suitable for this application. 10 & 25 year waterproofing systems are available, BBA certification (No. 09/4674), European Technical Approval (ETA no 06/0263), and Applus certification guarantees the suitability of this application for potable water compatibility.
Alternatively Impermax 2K is also suited to this application. A 2 component hot-spray applied resin, touch dry in seconds. Impermax 2K can be applied to verticals without the need for additives.
Waterproofing Wet Rooms
Whether waterproofing a domestic or commercial wet room, it couldn’t be made simpler than with the aid of Impermax. Impermax is a solvent based, self-levelling and highly durable polyurethane resin, which when applied ensures 100% waterproof membrane protection. Supported by both BBA certification (No. 09/4674) and European Technical Approval (ETA no 06/0263) Impermax can be applied in either a 10 or 25 year system.
If you are looking for a non-solvent based waterproofing system. Krypton Chemicals can alternatively offer Paviflex, an incredibly flexible 2 component product, carrying immense abrasion reinforcement and resistance to common cleaning and disinfectant products. Tiles can be laid directly on top of Paviflex or a top coat of Colodur can be applied, which can be mixed with Anti-slip quartz sand providing waterproof surface friction.
Water proofing Terraces & Balconies

• External Waterproofing Option
External surfaces such as terrace or balconies exposed to heavy pedestrian traffic require strong waterproof membranes, holding a high degree of durability, resistant to load & abrasion pressure.
To provide this highly reinforced surface a range of products can be applied. Once the substrate has been suitably covered with primer, Impermax is then used as the basic waterproofing membrane. Impermax is a cold-applied, self-levelling resin, curing within 24hours. Paviflex is then applied, a 2 component resin, coated over the top of the Impermax, improving the abrasion & load resistance. Colodur a UV stabilised aliphatic polyurethane resin is then covered as a top coat, which can be combined with anti-slip quartz sand, or pigmented to any RAL colour.
Through this application method a long-term, low maintenance & cost effective reinforced surface is reinforced, suitable for heavy pedestrian traffic.
• Internal Non-Waterproofing System:
For all internal surface areas, subject to heavy pedestrian traffic Krypton Chemicals can provide a low maintenance, chemical agent resistant solution. After substrate priming Paviflex a 2 component resin is applied, then coated with either Colodur (solvent based) or Colodur eco, the solvent free 2 component version. Both offering reinforced surface protection. Anti-slip quartz sand can be applied to increase surface friction.
